Mr Ronald Ma is the Founder and Principal of Ma & Company Solicitors. He was born in Hong Kong and migrated to Australia in 1984 with his family when he was 14 years old. He finished his High School studies in Sydney and obtained his Bachelor of Economics (major in Accounting and Economics) and Laws degrees in University of Sydney. He was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, The United Kingdom and Hong Kong in 1993, 1994 and 1995 respectively. Ronald is also a practicing solicitor in Hong Kong.

Ronald established the firm in 1997 in Chinatown Sydney as his focus is to assist clients from a similar cultural background. He is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin apart from English. The majority of our clients are Chinese and our understanding of the culture and practice of clients of various backgrounds from different places both inside and outside China combining with our strong professional knowledge has proven to be one of our most valuable assets.

Being raised in a family with both  legal and residential / commercial property investment, management  & development backgrounds, Ronald has acquired extensive experience and expertise in Commercial and Property Laws including but not limited to leasing and sales/purchases of Retail, Commercial, Residential and Industrial Properties in his practice during the last 30+ years. His knowledge in Accounting has also assisted him in handling a lot of commercial and property laws related disputes successfully and he has established a strong reputation in these together with a lot of other areas as he has been providing an all rounded high quality legal service to clients with Chinese and other backgrounds inside and outside Australia throughout his career.

Apart from New South Wales, Ronald also practiced extensively in Victoria for over 15 years and is therefore very experienced in dealing with various commercial, property and other issues over there. Ronald acted for 128 clients in a class action against a Victorian Developer about 7 years ago in the Supreme Court of Victoria and achieved a very satisfactory outcome for his clients. This is a proven reliable example of the extraordinary strength of Ronald and the professional team he leads.

Ronald has acted for a number of developers both in New South Wales and Victoria for many years and is familiar with all the legal aspects of property development in both jurisdictions. He assisted his clients to achieve their best outcomes especially when matters came into disputes.
