Ronald
Chi Chung Ma
Ronald is the founder and existing partner of Ma & Company Solicitors. He has obtained a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and was admitted as a Solicitor in Australia, U.K. and Hong Kong SAR in 1993, 1994 and 1995 respectively. Ronald has over 20 years of practicing experience in Hong Kong and Australia. His main areas of practice at Ma & Company Solicitors include commercial law, property law and commercial litigation.
With his high level of understanding of the commercial environment and real estate industry in both Australia and China, Ronald has provided legal advice to some of the biggest investors and property developers from China who wished to enter into the Australian market.
Li Min
Li Min possesses a Juris Doctor degree from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of International Business and Economics in China. She was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales after her graduation from UNSW and started to practice law since then. She has years of experience in litigation within a broad range of areas, including commercial and civil disputes, criminal law and family law.
Li has assisted many clients successfully achieving their goals outside or inside courts. She also has experience in providing legal advice to corporate clients, stakeholders and governments in projects and commercial contracts. She would like to look into the clients’ real interests when assisting them to resolve their matters. She prefers to resolve the disputes in advance before the clients spend extensive costs in the potential litigation.
Xun Cao
Ms Xun Cao obtained her Juris Doctor degree from University of NSW in Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws degree from East China University of Political Science & Law in Shanghai. She is qualified in both jurisdictions, Xun was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is qualified as a lawyer of People’s Republic of China.
Xun specializes in business law, corporate law, civil and commercial litigation, and family law. Prior to joining Ma & Company Solicitors, she gained substantial experiences at Chen Shan Lawyers, King & Wood Mallesons and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. She is experienced with various areas of law in Australia, having represented clients to appear at Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Local Court of NSW, and family courts. When she worked in China, she had seven years of extensive experience in handling cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and foreign investments.

James
Kit Hung Lau
Dr. James Lau Kit Hung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and obtained a degree of Master of Philosophy in 1988. He obtained a degree of Bachelor in Laws from the University of Sydney in 1993. He was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia in 1993 and as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong in 1994. He obtained a degree of Doctor of Juridical Science from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing in 2007. Dr. Lau has been practicing law in Hong Kong for nearly 20 years. In the past years, he engaged in the legal field and working as a legal practitioner of the well-established legal firms or as an in-house legal counsel in some Hong Kong listed companies. He is now a partner of Messrs. Robinsons, Lawyers. His practice includes legal matters relating to security law, merger and acquisition, company law, contract law, commercial law, employment law, immigration law, property law, etc. across various jurisdictions, corporate governance and company secretarial matters. He is also a practicing solicitor of Australia specializing in commercial law and immigration law (MARN: 9371726). Dr. Lau is very familiar with China trade. In addition to practicing lawyer, he once worked in a listed company as an executive director forming and overseeing the operation of all the China subsidiaries and representative offices for 6 years. He is now still providing services to and being retained as the supervisor monitoring the corporate governance some China companies. Owing to his profound knowledge of China law and good connection in Mainland China, he was appointed as the researcher by the Economic Law Research Centre of the China University of Political Science and Law (2007-2009), the director of China Scientific Technology Law Association (2010-2015), and the China Appointed Attesting Officer by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China (2012- ).Raymond
Siu Leung Yuen
Raymond obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and then admitted as a solicitor in Queensland. Currently, Raymond is holding solicitor’s practicing certificates with New South Wales and New Zealand. In addition, Raymond is also holding the foreign lawyer practicing certificates with Hong Kong and England and Wales
Raymond was a law teacher of Sacred Heart School of Commerce and the law speaker of a lot of different institutions. Raymond is a member of New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and a Legal Adviser of Hong Kong International Education Consultants’ Association. He is fluent in English and Chinese.
Raymond’s main practice areas are conveyancing, immigration, litigation (civil and criminal), personal injury, employment, family, tort, contract, company and commercial.
